Our Nepal Teaching Volunteer Program with Chitwan Safari and Pokhara Tour provides an unforgettable adventure, blending volunteer work with thrilling tours of some of Nepal’s most beautiful regions.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Your journey begins in the bustling capital of Nepal, Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. After settling in, we’ll have a brief orientation to introduce you to the exciting weeks ahead.
Day 02 – 04: Preparation and Cultural Briefing
The first few days are dedicated to preparing you for your volunteer work and immersing you in the local culture. You’ll receive an introduction to the volunteer program, cultural orientation, and basic language classes. We’ll also explore Kathmandu’s vibrant streets and historic sites, giving you a taste of what makes this city so special.
Day 05: Kathmandu City Tour
On the fifth day, we embark on a comprehensive tour of Kathmandu. Visit iconic landmarks like Swayambhunath (the Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa. Wander through the lively streets of Thamel, filled with shops, cafes, and a bustling atmosphere.
Day 06: Kathmandu to Volunteer Location
We then travel to your designated volunteer location, where you’ll meet the school staff and settle in. This is where your journey of making a difference begins.
Day 07 – 35: Volunteer Teaching at School
For the next four weeks, you’ll engage in volunteer teaching at a local school. This is a rewarding opportunity to impart knowledge, foster cultural exchange, and build meaningful connections with the students and the community.
Day 36: Volunteer Location to Chitwan National Park
After your volunteering stint, it’s time for some adventure. We head to Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its diverse wildlife and lush landscapes. Check-in at the safari lodge and prepare for an exciting jungle experience.
Day 37: Chitwan Jungle Safari Activities
Enjoy a full day of jungle safari activities. Ride elephants, go canoeing, and watch exotic birds. In the evening, visit a Tharu village to experience their unique culture and traditions.
Day 38: Chitwan to Pokhara
Next, we travel to Pokhara, a city known for its stunning natural beauty. Nestled beside the tranquil Phewa Lake and surrounded by majestic mountains, Pokhara is a haven for nature lovers and adventure seekers.
Day 39: Explore Pokhara
Spend the day exploring Pokhara’s attractions. Visit Davis Falls, Gupteshwor Cave, and the International Mountain Museum. Enjoy a peaceful boat ride on Phewa Lake and soak in the serene surroundings.
Day 40: Pokhara Adventure
Start your day early with a sunrise visit to Sarangkot for panoramic views of the Himalayas. For the more adventurous, Pokhara offers activities like paragliding and zip-lining.
Day 41: Pokhara Relaxation
Take a day to relax and explore Pokhara at your own pace. Wander through local markets, enjoy lakeside cafes, or simply bask in the beauty of your surroundings.
Day 42: Pokhara to Kathmandu
We return to Kathmandu, where you’ll check-in at the hotel and have the evening to relax or explore more of the city.
Day 43: Kathmandu Exploration
Dive deeper into Kathmandu’s cultural treasures with visits to Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Explore traditional arts and crafts and savor the local cuisine.
Day 44: Kathmandu Free Day
Enjoy a free day for last-minute shopping, personal exploration, or relaxation. In the evening, we’ll have a farewell dinner to celebrate your incredible journey.
Day 45: Departure from Kathmandu
On the final day, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your onward journey. As you depart, you’ll carry with you unforgettable memories and a sense of accomplishment from your volunteer work.
