  Testimonials

I had such a wonderful time in Nepal! The program was great! I really enjoyed myself during my volunteering in Nepal. My coordinator was brilliant; he was always there for me when I needed him, with lots of love and support! So I was very pleased, thank you so much for everything.

Sport Development in Nepal

Sports are not only a physical exercise and fun making but also a great way to freeing the growing kids from negative thinking. While playing sports the kids learn such positive traits as resilience, patience, team spirit, and keeping cool in the face of loss or failure. Thus as a sports instructor you need to respect their feelings on the one hand, and the same time, help them recognize their feelings from the facts.

In the Sports Development Program, you need to train how to make a sport team, organize the play ground, learn key rules and techniques, and conduct regular exercise trainings. The ethnic sports from Nepal are the Kapardi, Dandibiyo, Lukamari, etc but these indigenous games are played only in the rural areas. The most popular outdoor games in Nepal are football, volleyball, basketball, and cricket.

The most important concepts that the sports trainer can inculcate in the minds of young players are:

  • Looking at the bigger picture view

  • Conquer the performance anxieties and the fear of failure

  • Accepting oneself and others by avoiding making comparisons
